Term 3 class newsletter
Room 1 Newsletter for Term 3
Dear Parents/ Caregivers,
Welcome back to Term 3 when, hopefully, we are heading into warmer Spring weather.
This term Room 1 is involved in a NZ pilot programme called Better Start. It involves discussing stories and phonological awareness activities. In a few weeks, there will be a parent meeting to tell you more about what we are doing and what you can do to help us.
The Jesus strand is our focus this term when we will learn about the life of Jesus as a boy. We will also think about what messages Jesus gave us and showed us as he grew older.
In the first 5 weeks of the term, we will be completing “Healthy food makes healthy people”. This will be followed by Sexuality where we learn about our uniqueness, our development and our needs in order to stay healthy.
We will continue with PMP. Thank you to those adults who have generously offered their time each week to make this programme possible. Any more offers of help would be appreciated.
REMEMBER to watch the school newsletter for other upcoming events- St Anne’s feast day (Wednesday), Kapahaka Festival.
If you have any questions or can add to our learning, please call in to see me. Please remember to read and comment on our blogstannes101.blogspot.co.nz Cathy French
